Tempt (Cloverleigh Farms Next Generation Book 4) ★★★★★

Tempt (Cloverleigh Farms Next Generation Book 4)

Format: Digital

Note: I did purchase this book with my own money to read and enjoy for my own pleasure.

Description:

You’ve heard the story about the wedding planner who falls for the groom?

Well, this is the one where she falls for his father.

And that groom? He’s my ex.

I didn’t realize who the gruff, gorgeous older man was the night he rescued me from a creep in a Manhattan hotel. All I knew was that a hot, bearded stranger with a protective streak showed up right when I needed a reminder that real gentlemen still exist.

(Although he left his manners behind after asking me up to his room.)

It was the hottest night of my life, but I never thought I’d see the former Navy SEAL again.

Imagine my surprise at the rehearsal dinner one week later, when my handsome stranger is introduced as the father of the groom. Even more surprising? What we felt in New York was no fluke.

In public, we pretend there’s nothing between us.

In private, we can’t keep our hands off each other.

The situation is beyond complicated. Zach never even knew he’d fathered a child until recently, and he wants to earn his son’s trust and respect. As for me, I’m looking for a man who wants to start a family, and Zach has made it clear he’s not that man. He’s older, newly divorced, and he lives across the country.

But no matter how many times we draw the line, we keep crossing it.

Nothing so wrong should ever feel so right.

My Thoughts:

I loved it!! I honestly could not put it down. I did finish it in one day but it was so worth it!! There was drama and chaos going on but I was there for it! I am the type of person that enjoys books where I can yell or scream at the characters as I read and this was one of those books for me. This was the first SPICY book I have read and it will not be the last!!! new section coming to the blog!! overall loved the story.

Surviving Haley

By: Brenda Baker

Pub: Nov. 6, 2015

Format: Digital

Note: I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Description:
Lauren Werthman struggles with guilt and depression. Even moving to another state and into a new home doesn't help her overcome the life-altering aftermath of losing her sister. Memories of the tragic accident reverberate through her life as her family tries to cope, but Lauren's life spirals out of control. Her mother criticizes her choices every day, her father continues to work later and later, and people at her new school seem to know the family secret. Lauren binge-eats, has nightmares, and doubts the existence of a God Who didn't intervene to prevent the senseless tragedy. As Lauren's family and friends work through the pain and guilt, will they find that even though the void will always remain, the power of forgiveness brings peace and hope and a bright future, or will Lauren forever be lost to the pain and guilt?

My Thoughts:
Surviving Haley was an awesome book. I was hooked as soon as I read the first page. I do wish it had been longer and that perhaps there was some closer at the end but overall this was a great book. I would recommend this book for teens and young adults, especially Christian teens. I fell in love with Jonah and wished I had a friend like him in high school. Jonah is the perfect example that Christians are not perfect and that every day they try and live the way God wants them to. I would love to buy this book and give it out to the youth at my church.
